With over 70 years combined experience in Workers Compensation, the UHS team understands the importance of defensible documentation and thorough assessments in moving a claim forward. We offer a variety of solutions to assist with Return-to-Work status, addressing MMI, and identifying additional care needs.

What Solutions Do We Offer?

FCE- Functional Capacity Evaluation

• A systematic functional 3–4-hour evaluation utilized to determine functional abilities and limitations.  Can be utilized for disability or workers’ compensation to determine any potential work restrictions along with accommodations/modifications required.
• Results are outlined in a proprietary, easy-to-read report summary that has been reviewed by QA prior to formal submission.
• Reports are delivered within 72 hours.

IR-Impairment Rating

• Includes an in-depth musculoskeletal evaluation and Medical Review
• Interprets and applies the guidelines forassigning impairment, dependent on state mandates.
• Presents a comprehensive professional report, reviewed for accuracy by Certified Impairment Rater in QA process.
• May resolve discrepancies in impairment

Fit for Duty Evaluation

• Ensures that the employee may safely perform his or her essential job duties with or without accommodation.
• Provides a safe, secure, and productive work environment

Reasonable Accommodation Analysis

• Determines an individual’s ability to perform the essential functions of a job.
• Determines the individual’s specific needs based on provided restrictions.
• Identifies accommodations that enables an individual with specific functional abilities.
• Identifies any limitations to perform essential job functions.

Peer Review/Consult

• Unify has many specialized and certified clinicians on staff who are experts in the field of workers’ compensation. We perform peer reviews to help in directing a claim to the appropriate clinical pathway or even give a second opinion Impairment Rating Recommendation.
• Determine medical necessity or appropriateness of care
• Discuss modification of care based on finding
• Ensures efficient use of financial resources
• Recommend new course of action based on review findings
• Communicate with physician on clinical findings
