Lowering Recordables: Unify Health Services, LLC partners with CPC Logistics to roll out the Industrial Performance Program (IPP)

Jacksonville, FL – Unify Health Services, LLC, a nationally recognized physical medicine organization that focuses on minimizing and resolving musculoskeletal injuries in the workplace, and CPC Logistics, Inc a leading national provider of professional driver services partner to bring the Industrial Performance Program, IPP to CPC Logistic employees.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), twenty-nine percent of work-related injuries are musculoskeletal disorders.  OSHA also indicates that employers spend as much as $20 billion a year on musculoskeletal work-related injuries and five times that in indirect costs.

Unify’s President, Kelly Ingram-Mitchell, MPT, and IPP program innovator, designs cost effective employer-based programs that combat the tremendous costs associated with work injuries.  “With the high prevalence and significant costs associated with MSDs in the workplace, more and more companies are turning to early intervention programs to combat this escalating problem. This customized program utilizes athletic trainers to help employees experiencing discomfort address and resolve musculoskeletal discomforts before soft tissues deficiencies turn into a sprain/strain recordable. Unify Health Services is proud to be the chosen partner of the forward-thinking CPC team. Implementing wellness and prevention strategies creates well workers and little to no exposure to MSDs,” states Ingram-Mitchell.

CPC’s Dan Most, Senior Manager, Operations and Safety, and Anne Alabach, Workers’ Comp Department Manager are the key drivers of this innovative program within CPC. Their focus is on employee safety, well-being, and health recognizing the benefits to all concerned. They shared “CPC is pleased to be partnering with Unify Health Services to take our FACT Safety Program to a whole new level by placing health professionals at our locations to further support our drivers.”

The program has launched in three of the four initial locations: Woodlands, CA, Allentown, PA, Mt. Vernon, IL, and Winsor, WI.
